I have been trying to photoetch some bicycles, golf cart steering wheels and brake wheels in the past and each time I used only single sided etching. The results were OK and not very encouraging. I finally decided to try double sided etching. I etched three different motorcycles and brake wheels this time and I was pleasantly surprised at the details that I was able to etch. I used a low resolution printer (300 DPI instead of 600DPI) since I had some printer problems and from the previous results did not think it will make a much of a difference. After etching I could notice all the fine details that was printed including the jagged edges from a 300DPI printer. Since these are zoomed macro pictures all the imperfections including the paint surfaces roughness is seen. The motorcycles looks much better with the bare eye.
